Centrally placed for either the Yorkshire Dales or the North Yorkshire Moors, Primrose has its own enclosed garden and patio with views across the neighbouring countryside. Primrose certainly has the wow factor. High ceilings, beams, exposed brickwork, gorgeous wood burner, large Smart TV with Netflix and tasteful and comfortable furnishings throughout. Underfloor heating further adds to the feeling of luxury.
A wonderful wood burner is the centrepiece of the luxurious and contemporary open plan kitchen and living area. Two large comfortable sofas to curl up on, one of which converts into a very generous and comfortably sprung double bed to accommodate extra guests, and the cloakroom, just off the lobby, has a wash basin and toilet which means that they have their own facilities! If that’s not enough the sumptuous master bedroom leads into a surprise en-suite! The most has been made of a small space by incorporating a luxury Japanese Deep Soak Bath. Access is via slide-away, non-slip steps and whether you are short or tall you are guaranteed a relaxing soak right up to your shoulders. Stream your own music through the bluetooth speakers and choose coloured underwater LED lighting to suit your mood. Even better than a hot tub with fresh water each time, no noisy jets and your own personal space! You don’t have to step out into the cold air... the en-suite even has underfloor heating. Complete with a large separate shower cubicle, heated towel rail and demisting mirrored cabinet for the convenience of guests.
Much careful thought has gone into the rest of the cottage too. The stylish kitchen has been equipped with all the usual cooking equipment and appliances as well as one or two extras, such as a Nespresso coffee machine and a welcome pack on arrival with homemade biscuits, a selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh milk and bread. The utility room houses a freezer, a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
Primrose has its own enclosed garden and patio with views across the neighbouring countryside. A bistro table and chairs make a perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening as you watch the sun go down.
The cottage is perfectly located near the historic market town of Northallerton, with Bedale, Leyburn, Richmond, Ripon, Masham and Thirsk also within close proximity. The property lies adjacent to the owner’s home and an equestrian centre, 5 minutes from the A1, making it easy to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Park. There is a car parking space next to the property.
The area is popular with walkers and cyclists, with the Tour de Yorkshire passing close by, as well as the Tour de France back in 2014. There is an unlimited amount of natural beauty right on the doorstep of this beautifully designed cottage, which has been converted from an old farm building. Wensleydale Railway is a big attraction in the area, with its tracks snaking from the lowland Vale of Mowbray to the upland splendour of the famous Yorkshire Dales. This rural railway line passes through market towns, small villages, woodland and farmland, offering a great day out in some of England’s most beautiful countryside in winter.
There is so much to do in the area. Nature lovers can enjoy walks in both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Parks, taking in beautiful countryside, from high peaks with breathtaking views to waterfalls and rivers. A little further north, the picturesque area of County Durham is also easily accessible, where you can visit the very popular market town of Barnard Castle, home to the Bowes Museum. Or travel south to the spa town of Harrogate, with its Roman baths and health spa, or the historic city of York, both of which make excellent days out. Beach 40 miles. Farm shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
Primrose can be booked together with its neighbour Daisy (ref UK2407) to accommodate up to 6 guests, ideal for larger family groups.
