Hammy’s Cottage is a charming, cosy and comfortable cottage situated in the small coastal village of Drummore, Scotland’s most southerly village, and a real magnet for visitors. Hammy’s Cottage is delightfully decorated throughout, boasting lovely furnishings and décor. The spacious living room, with its cosy wood burning stove, is perfect for those chillier evenings, but is also a delight in the summer, as the door opens directly onto a very sunny and private courtyard. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other a twin room with pull out bed for additional sleeping.Hammy’s Cottage is a short stroll from the beach and stunning views across Luce Bay, where you can enjoy a lazy day doing nothing!
The area surrounding Drummore, the Rhins of Galloway, boasts idyllic scenery and amazing seascapes, rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf Stream. There are many beautiful gardens to explore, including the world renowned Logan Botanical Gardens. The area boasts many other pretty little ports like Sandhead, Portpatrick. A trip not to be missed is a visit to RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway nature reserve, where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Harbour porpoises, dolphins, seals, otters and minke whales can also be spotted. The area is ideal for walkers with a number of spectacular coastal and clifftop paths to explore and for the more adventurous the world renowned 7stanes mountain bike trails are close by. Pub 1 mile, beach 100 yards.
