The cottage is situated on the outskirts of a traditional Cumbrian farm, which is surrounded by miles and miles of lakeland fells on which guests are free to roam. This truly is a magical place for those that wish to walk or ride amidst beautiful open Cumbrian landscape direct from the doorstep. Haweswater Cottage is surrounded on all sides by quiet inviting Cumbrian fells. Easy access straight onto High Street, Bampton Common and Haweswater, all of these routes and more are easily accessed from the cottage. You can also walk around Haweswater, a distance of around 10 miles. Keen cyclists will enjoy this area; The roads in this area of Cumbria are significantly less crowded than the main Lakes so can be better enjoyed by cyclists. The roads are of course narrow and require a degree of care from cyclists and motorists alike, but they are there to enjoy. There are also off-road tracks for more serious mountain biking.
