Carnish Lodge is a wonderful family holiday home in a truly stunning location, with beautiful sea views and rural surroundings.
These two wonderful holiday homes are tucked away in the most spectacular spot in the Outer Hebrides and overlook Uig Sands, one of Scotland’s most beautiful beaches.
Situated in the far south-west of Lewis, pretty much at the end of the road, you really are on the edge of Europe or as the local tourism board says, the edge of the world! A stay at Hebridean Hideaways, out on the edge of Lewis gives you a real sense of adventure and exploration. It really is hard to believe when you’re strolling Uig Sands or simply looking out over the beach from Carnish Lodge that you’re still in the UK.
Outside of the stunning local area there are numerous places to visit during your stay. There are many local walks to enjoy in the Uig Hills or along the many white beaches of the area, as well as brilliant hikes across Lewis and Harris, including sections of the Hebridean Way. The world famous Callanish Stones are a short drive away, and up the west coast is the brilliant Blackhouse Village and the charismatic Stevenson lighthouse up at the Butt of Lewis. Stornoway is a characterful town and offers many places to eat and drink. Head over to the wonderful Isle of Harris -connected to Lewis- to the south with its beaches on the west coast and its rocky bays on the east.
Carnish Lodge (UK31818) comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests in spacious accommodation finished to a high standard. There are two double bedrooms and one twin room, each lovingly decorated and enjoying a view of the sands. The living room features a cosy open fire, perfect for relaxing and recharging after a busy day.
Carnish Byre (UK31819) is perfect for a couple to spend a week or two in luxury away from the fast pace of everyday life, accommodating 2 guests with a kingsize bedroom served by an en-suite bathroom with a copper roll-top bath!
For those that who love the outdoors, Hebridean Hideaways are the perfect choice. As well as fantastic sea and fly fishing, the hillwalking is spectacular and surfing of all types is really very special. Nature lovers are also in for a treat, with dolphins, porpoises and whales along the coast, as well as many grey and harbour seals. Otters live in the bay too and there are resident golden eagles in the Uig Hills. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
