Perfect for a couple looking for an escape to this wild part of Cornwall, this beautiful granite property can also accommodate up to four people. Previously a working farm, Higher Trewellard Hill Farm is quiet and isolated with superb views of the north coast and moors. It is perfect as a base to explore this wild area of west Cornwall. The St Just area has a rich mining heritage and has now been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as well as being an approved Dark Sky Area and in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty.
The cottage, part of this beautiful granite constructed farmhouse, is surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the West Cornwall peninsula. It is full of character with beamed ceilings, thick stone walls and a Morso wood burner in the living/dining room to keep you cosy at the colder times. The fitted kitchen is well-equipped for whipping up a holiday feast, or if the weather’s nice why not light the barbeque and dine al fresco! Upstairs are two traditionally decorated bedrooms that ooze comfort after a long day exploring the area. The master bedroom has both moorland and sea views, with a king sized bed and en-suite toilet. The twin bedroom has garden views.
Pendeen village has a general stores and Post Office and there are three local pubs serving food. Two of these, as well as a takeaway fish and chip shop, are within 5-minutes’ drive or a 15-minute walk down the hill. The small town of St Just is about 3 miles away which has shops including two butchers, a bakery, a supermarket and art galleries. Portherras Cove is a small beach about 2 miles from the cottage. There are steps down to the beach but no disabled or wheelchair access and it has no public facilities. Beach 2½ miles.
