Honister House is a three storey home within easy walking distance to the town centre of Keswick and has plenty of space to relax and enjoy a break in this popular Lake District location. Set back from the street in an elevated position, the unique layout allows everyone to have their own space. The kitchen is the heart of the house, with traditional fittings, a range style cooker and a large dining table for those hearty meals in. Settle down in the adjacent living room, which has ample seating and allows you to watch the world go by from the front facing bay window. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, all en-suite, many enjoying views across the roof tops of Keswick to the surrounding fells, with another living room on the second floor giving space and flexibility when relaxing at the house.
Being so accessible to the town centre, you are moments away from an abundance of independent shops, specialist outdoor suppliers and numerous cafés, tearooms and traditional pubs. A short walk away are the shores of Derwent Water, with many low level paths to enjoy. Here you can hire a boat and explore the many islands and inlets in your own time or take one of the launches and enjoy a round trip, or hop off at the many jetty stops and walk back at your own pace. For rainy days, Keswick has everything to keep the whole family entertained. The Theatre By The Lake has many touring productions, or a movie night at the Alhambra Cinema is a must. This 100 year old picture house still has the traditional decor and balcony seating, yet shows modern day block buster movies. Of course, no visit to Keswick is complete without a trip to the famous Derwent Pencil Museum, here you can see the world’s largest pencil. Shop and pub 25 yards, restaurant 100 yards.
