House by the Loch is the perfect Highland retreat for a family gathering, with amazing views from every part of the property. It has its own cinema, disco, games room and even its own playpark.
House by the Loch is located just outside the city of Inverness overlooking Loch Duntelchaig, the views from every window are incredible. The house is vast and can sleep up to nineteen guests, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Stepping through the front door takes you into the disco room, with fairy lights, magical living trees, disco ball and a secret coffee table that turns into a poker and roulette table. This room is open plan to the cosy lounge area with multiple couches and chairs, a large TV with SkyQ. This leads through to the impressive open plan kitchen/dining room and bar. It has outstanding views of the Loch and beyond with large doors opening on to the patio area. The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern equipment, an American fridge/freezer, popcorn machine, a full bar area with a wine chiller, dishwasher and vast selection of glassware. There is a huge oak dining table and twenty chairs where everyone can enjoy a meal and drinks. On the ground floor there is a cinema room with nine reclining leather chairs perfect for watching your favourite movies, whether it be from a selection of DVD’s or one of the hundreds of choices from Sky Cinema. There is a games room with a snooker table, table football, a gaming area with Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation. Throughout the house there are board games, books, jigsaws and toys for all ages. There is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Plenty of cloakroom space for jackets and boots after a day outside. There is a large twin bedroom and an adjacent wet room on the ground floor, both are wheelchair accessible and presented to a high standard. All of the ground floor has underfloor heating and the whole property has a heat recovery system that delivers continuous, fresh, filtered air.
On the first floor you will find a panoramic window, with breath taking views overlooking the Loch. On this floor there are eight bedrooms, one has a super kingsize bed with en-suite, one is a family room with a super kingsize bed plus a single bed and en-suite. There are two kingsize rooms, two twin rooms, a single room and finally a triple room with three single beds. This floor has three family bathrooms, one with a whirlpool bath. All bathrooms and en-suites have underfloor heating and are finishes to a high standard. The property is very child friendly, it has bed guards, playpens, cups, plates, beakers and lots of toddler toys, alongside the basics like cots and highchairs.
Outside, overlooking the Loch there is a large patio with a custom made outdoor dining table seating 20 and a charcoal Webber barbecue. A lawn area with a stone wall surrounding the views really are breath taking. The property is beautifully presented with some quirky touches, it is immaculate throughout. House by the Loch is the perfect location to base yourself to enjoy the surrounding area with its many golf courses, rivers to fish, paddle boarding, kayaking, cycling, walking, skiing on Aviemore, Loch Ness or just to stay put and chill.
