The beautiful beach of Traeth Morfa Nefyn, one of the most loved on the Llyn Peninsula, is just a 2 minute stroll from The House on the Corner, a holiday cottage literally on the corner of Beach Road. Newly decorated with a coastal inspired theme throughout, the living room features a huge ’L’ shaped duck egg blue sofa and dining table for 8 and leads out onto a sunny conservatory. The master ground floor bedroom with en-suite shower room is light and airy with a king-size 6ft bed. There is an additional ground floor double bedroom with floral curtains and throws. The well equipped retro kitchen with food hatch into lounge and pantry emphasises the early 1960’s origins of the house and the ground floor family bathroom features an large enamel bath with shower over. There are two loft bedrooms (reached via a very steep open staircase - may not be suitable for all. Stairgates provided). One decorated with a red, white and blue nautical theme and the other with a restful soft grey decor. Surrounded by large well tended lawns, the house gets sun all day. An extra hidden lawn through an entrance in the hedge is a secret garden that children and pets will delight in. The rear of the house is a perfect secluded spot to enjoy a barbecue in the evening sun. A short walk away is Morfa Nefyn general stores which sells everything from locally sourced meat and fish to fresh vegetables and for eating out there are lots of choice - just around the corner is a small highly recommended cafe and a mile away is a gastro pub.
Use a map to pinpoint small remote bays then walk across fields and dip down to the coast to discover your own secluded special spot. Join the Lyn Coastal Path at the entrance to Morfa Nefyn beach from where there are spectacular views of The Rival Mountain Range and back to Snowdonia. Seals swim close to shore in good weather look out for fat little seal pups swimming with their mothers in late summer and enjoy the lovely display of wild flowers.
