A short walk leads you to the secluded Meers Beach, where the soothing sound of waves awaits, and country walks past the tennis court; don’t forget to bring your rackets! You can stroll along the scenic coast path into Coverack village, home to a quaint harbour, a sandy beach, a local shop, and a cosy fish and chip shop.
This stunning part of the country remains unspoiled, making it a haven for nature lovers. It’s also steeped in history. Did you know that Marconi sent his first transatlantic radio message from here? Visit Goonhilly Downs to marvel at its impressive satellite dishes.
Adventure abounds, with day trips to The Lizard, the most southerly point of England. Explore the Heritage Centre and Lighthouse, or indulge in a sweet treat from Roskilly’s, a working organic Cornish dairy farm.
Just under 12 miles away is the nearest town Helston, you can explore the Museum which houses collections of social and industrial history from mining and fishing or visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary where rescued seals are nursed back to health before being released into the wild.
