Kaptain’s Cabin epitomises exactly what you look for in a lodge holiday, a Scandinavian style detached lodge with its simple architecture lending itself beautifully to this pretty rural setting. The property includes BT Full Fibre 900 broadband Wi-Fi, with a minimum upload speed of 110Mbps, and a minimum download speed of 700Mbps.The generous plot and position of Kaptain’s Cabin, at the top end of a site of similar lodges, provides a great base from which to explore the Northern Lakes and Pennines. The market town of Penrith, the Rheged Discovery Centre, Aira Force and Ullswater steamers/ferry service are all within a short drive. The market town of Keswick is 30 minutes away by car, as is the historic City of Carlisle, and you are within easy reach of Hadrian’s Wall, the Eden Valley and the Northern Pennines. Comfortable and well-presented, the lodge enjoys an open plan living space, which lends itself well to families and friends as a great spot to relax. The good sized decked area, equipped with a wooden table and six chairs, is accessible from the living area and is a great spot to capture the views and make the most of fair weather days. There are lawned gardens to the front and rear. The rear garden is equipped with a six seater picnic bench which gives fantastic panoramic views to distant mountains and acts as an additional spot to enjoy an al fresco bite to eat or perhaps an early morning coffee. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
