A short bus ride or drive away are a selection of beaches. Head to Avon Beach for a pebble beach or to Southbourne for a sandy beach which stretches towards Bournemouth and Sandbanks. You can visit Mudeford Spit and get the boat across to Hengistbury Head Beach, which is home to fantastic beach huts, it is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Here you can hire bikes to cycle around and take part in a variety of water sports.
