Welcome to Kerensa Cottage, a beautiful house with an impressive facade and abundance of style, situated within the small, popular Cornish town of Lostwithiel. Just a short walk to the railway station which links Plymouth to Penzance, taking in some of the most stunning scenery and views in the county. Enter via the sturdy front door complete with brass fittings and you are led into an inviting light and airy hallway. To the left is the living room incorporating super-comfy corner sofa, Smart TV and cosy wood burning stove, just great for those chilly evenings. The large dining room has great natural light with table, four chairs and a wooden bench seat. A smart sofa and feature fireplace complete this excellent room. Your kitchen is superbly equipped, fully fitted, with plenty of workspace and crisp, clean lines and venture upstairs and you are greeted by three bedrooms, the master with delightful fireplace and en-suite bathroom with large corner shower. Bedroom two offers twin beds, whilst the third room has modern bunk beds, so popular with younger guests! The family bathroom has bath with excellent electric shower over. From the kitchen there is a courtyard decking area complete with furniture, great for morning coffee or perhaps a cosy evening get together, as you recount the day’s exploits and plan tomorrow’s adventure!
Just 6 miles from the nearest beach at Par, you will find a wide expanse of sand backed by dunes and flanked by rugged cliffs. The town of St Austell lies nearby, with a range of shops and restaurants. Once a major mining industry flourished here and there is an fascinating museum portraying this incredible story. Fowey, with its narrow streets, boutique shops, pubs and thriving harbour awaits, whilst the ancient town of Looe and nearby Polperro, both steeped in tales of smuggling, are must visits. Inland, the unique Eden Project, with huge Biomes housing the world’s largest indoor rainforest is an amazing place whilst take a trip back in time with a visit to Charlestown, with its fleet of tall ships and the setting for many films and TV series.
