Kittiwake is in the quiet sleepy Portwrinkle village, part of the Rame Peninsula, and is ideally suited for those wishing to enjoy this wonderfully very peaceful and unspoilt area known as ’Cornwall’s forgotten corner’. Within a few steps of the apartment are the sheltered Finnygook beach and café for those glorious sunny days, the South West Coast Path which provides spectacular views of the coastline, and the Whitsand Bay Golf Club and clubhouse, which welcomes non-members. Other amenities within a quarter of a mile include a village shop providing basic essentials, and a pub serving great cuisines.
A short drive along the peninsula are the old fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, as well the Mount Edgcumbe Country Park. Both areas provide boat trips to Plymouth’s harbour side for chic cafés, bars and shopping. A 20-minute drive takes you to Adrenalin Quarry, where you can participate in go karting, a zip wire, giant swing, axe throwing and wipeout at the aqua park. Further away, but within an hour, are the coastal towns of Looe and Fowey, plus the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan.
