This attractive, sunny, traditional corner cottage is situated in the heart of the picturesque quayside village of Appledore and is just seconds away from the village’s cafés, restaurants, pubs, gift-shops and quay, and the North Devon coastal path.
The accommodation is on two floors and comprises two bedrooms (mind the step just outside each bedroom), and on the ground floor, a comfortable living room and adjacent kitchen/dining room. Just off the kitchen is the bathroom with a door leading to the separate toilet. Parking is available locally either on the streets or in the ample public car park.
Located just yards from the waterside and the excellent variety of eateries, coffee shops and tea rooms including a popular restaurant/pub. The property is perfectly positioned for Appledore’s lovely quay which benefits from gorgeous views out towards Instow. Instow can be easily reached by car or simply by taking the ferry and enjoy the quiet inlet with sand dunes and a sandy beach along with a selection of pubs, restaurants and the excellent delicatessen.
Back in Appledore there are plenty of quaint village streets which host a wide range of cafés, public houses and boutique shops - the perfect place to simply wander and take in the surroundings and traditional fisherman’s cottages. The historic port town of Bideford is just two miles away and offers a taste of traditional North Devon life with its weekly pannier market and of course has all the usual town facilities such as a large supermarket and high street. The sandy beach of Westward Ho! has great views out towards Lundy Island, which can be visited on a day trip, is popular with surfers, windsurfers and beach lovers alike and is just over 2 miles away. Other amazing beaches (some of the best in the UK) including Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde are all within easy reach by car.
There are plenty of local attractions and amenities nearby including Northam Golf Course, horse riding stables, an indoor swimming pool, fishing, sailing and water-skiing facilities. Family attractions include the Big Sheep and Milky Way theme parks, Dartington Crystal Factory, Tapeley Park and the Tarka Trail, which is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists and follows a disused railway line all the way to Barnstaple and Torrington in the opposite direction. And then there’s the South West Coast Path which offers 90 miles of walks in North Devon alone and has amazing and dramatic coastal views.
