To the east the fabulous sandy beaches of Montrose, Lunan and Arbroath are a short drive away whilst inland, the five Angus Glens have a plethora of excellent walks and pathways, not to mention a wealth of wildlife. Historic Edzell with its Royal Arch and championship golf course is seven miles away and Fettercairn village where visitors are welcome at the Fettercairn Distillery is just 1½ miles. Slightly further afield are Banchory and Royal Deeside, a wonderful 40-minute drive away over the stunning Cairn O Mount road, with its viewpoint showcasing the whole of the Mearns on a clear day.
