Loch Shore Cottage is detached and sits on the shores of Loch Long with outstanding views over the loch. Only a few minutes’ walk from the historic Eilean Donan Castle which is illuminated at night and can be seen from the comfort of Loch Shore Cottage. This is an excellent base to tour the surrounding area and is only a short drive to Glenelg, Plockton and the Isle of Skye over the Beallach na Ba to Applecross.
There are many historic sites to visit, including the ruins of Glenelg Brochs, the site of the battle of Shiel, Attadele Gardens, Kylerhea Otter Hide, boat trips and pony trekking. There is fishing as well as excellent hill walking and wildlife to explore for the outdoor enthusiast and so much more, and the area offers peace and solitude for the ‘get away from it all experience’. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
