Tucked away in the charming Dales village of Langcliffe, Low Fold Cottage lies at the south-west edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Semi-detached, it nestles beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain, a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes, and amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. Langcliffe is set in a quiet backwater, with a beautiful old church and stone cottages clustered around the spacious village green. There is excellent walking in all directions, and the nearby bustling market town of Settle, 1 mile, boasts a good selection of restaurants, pubs and a public swimming pool. The Victoria Hall is a community centre with music and book fairs, theatrical productions and auctions, and Settle country market takes place every Tuesday, with a farmers’ market each month. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Settle has a challenging golf course, and cycle hire, horse riding and fishing are all available locally. Skipton and Malham are nearby, as are natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. Settle is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.
