Low Mill has been lovingly restored throughout, with great attention to detail to create this beautiful spacious space. The site of the original water mill takes centre stage in the kitchen, where you can see the water flow by beneath, through an amazing observation panel set within the floor space which during the evening is lit up.
Underfloor heating creating a cosy ambiance, the spacious living room with oak beams, a fabulous wood burner and comfortable reclining sofas has a large smart TV for your entertainment. The large kitchen/dining room is a fabulous place to gather and socialise, with a beautiful shaker-style kitchen with all the modern appliances. There is a separate utility room with downstairs toilet and washing machine. Upstairs the character of the property continues with beamed ceilings, oak doors and beautiful views from the windows and very spacious. The two en-suite bedrooms are luxurious and furnished with quality oak furniture throughout. The bathrooms have large walk-in showers and heated towel rails, while high quality mattresses and fine bedding ensure a good night’s sleep. Extra touches like USB charging points and smart TVs add to the experience.
Although the original mill wheel is now in a York museum, the site has been beautifully maintained to retain its character. Outside there is a raised decked area to sit and take in the peace and tranquillity of the countryside and look out at the views, extending out into an enclosed lawned area. The stream that powered the mill runs alongside and beneath the property. If you are lucky, from the garden you may well see the kingfishers that fly past or the otters in the beck.
