The pretty village of Betws-y-Coed has a wide range of individual shops and eateries, and direct access to the Gwydyr Forest. Whilst the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, historic Conwy with its Edward I castle and town walls, bustling Porthmadog, home to the Ffestiniog Railway and the Italianate village of Portmeirion are all close by.
