Milburn Grange is a collection of 7 delightful properties (W44373, W44374, W44375, W44376, W44377, W44378 and W44379), lying on the outskirts of the quiet rural village of Knock, near Appleby-in-Westmorland. They are easily accessible from all major road networks which will save time whilst on those short breaks, and there is ample private off-street parking.
There are walks from the door including High Cup Nick, Cross Fell and many more within a few minutes, and for those who prefer two wheels, the properties are located on two national cycle routes and also on a circular 40-mile, off-road route for the more adventurous.
The historic market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, in Cumbria, is set in the beautiful Eden Valley and it is situated within a loop of the River Eden, making this an excellent centre for exploring the surrounding area and soaking up the scenery. The town’s main industry is tourism, due to its history, remote location, scenery and close proximity to the stunning Lake District, the North Pennines, Swaledale and Howgill Fells. The uncommonly wide main street, Boroughgate, has been described as one of the finest in England. It runs from the north end, by the cloisters, which were designed by Sir Robert Smirke in 1811, and to the south end, by the castle entrance. The railway station is on the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway, and is a good spot to see the steam trains that often pass on Saturdays. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
