The Radar Museum situated on the boundary of Neatishead and Horning offers an insight to the history of how radar was used during WWII. For the children, there is BeWILDerwood Adventure Park at Horning with tree houses, zip wires, jungle bridges and boat trips, which all combines to make a great day out. Wroxham, which is known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’, is just over 3 miles away where you can hire a day boat and explore the Broads and see the wildlife.
The sandy beaches of the North Norfolk Coast are only a few miles away, and in the winter months, a visit to Horsey Gap beach is a must where you will find hundreds of grey seal pups on the beach. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park. Alternatively, spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with the magnificent cathedrals, castle, museums, theatres, market and vast array of cafés and shops. Walking, birdwatching, sailing, fishing (licence required) and cycling all available locally. Beach 10 miles, Shop, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
