Morvoren (Sea Maiden) Cottage is located in the heart of The Square on the Lizard Peninsula. Terraced and set over three floors, it is within convenient walking distance of shops, a tea room and a pub, and has excellent access to the South West Coastal Path. The Lizard Peninsula is the most southerly point of the British mainland and boasts its own unique landscape. Explore wonderful coves with pretty thatched cottages and colourful fishing boats, or relax on beautiful beaches, including nearby Kynance Cove. The rare geology of the area creates a haven for exceptional plants, flowers and wildlife. Pretty fishing coves and harbours such as Cadgwith Cove and Mullion are just a short drive away.
The area is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and will appeal to families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday within easy reach of a choice of beaches. The Lizard Lighthouse and Heritage Centre is open to the public, and you can climb to the top and take advantage of the glorious views. Visit St Winwaloe Church right on the beach at Gunwalloe - Church Cove dates back to the 13th century. The Marconi Centre at Poldhu Cove offers an insight into advances in media and transatlantic radio communication, and you can stop off en route at Roskilly’s famous farm to watch how they make the local ice cream and fudge. You can also enjoy walking, scuba diving, cycling, golf or simply relax and watch the ever-changing sea conditions, together with abundant wildlife including dolphins, basking sharks, seals and an array of birdlife. Beach ¼ mile. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
