Located just a mile from the village of Forth in Lanarkshire, this fabulous, detached bungalow provides the ideal home away from home, located on a quiet road opening to the surrounding countryside. Fully refurbished and offering quality accommodation, this cottage is a great place for couples or smaller families to use as a base while exploring this fabulous part of the country.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor albeit accessed by three steps from the front and then three steps down from the metal balcony in the rear garden. The property sleeps four in the two bedrooms, the larger being fitted as a double with a super kingsize bed and the second with twin beds. The kitchen has a dining table and the spacious sitting room also has a dining area as well as views across the garden to the trees as the ground slopes down to the Mousewater Burn. Patio doors open onto a metal balcony which leads down to a garden and patio area.

Walk or cycle from your front door and explore the former Wilsontown Ironworks site, now converted into attractive woodlands with a variety of trails and guided walks to the settlement where many workers used to live and work the mines. There are other cycle trails in nearby Fauldhouse and the famous Glentress cycle trails are less than an hour away. Visit the World Heritage Site of the former 18th-century cotton mill at New Lanark and discover why Robert Owen is renowned as a social reformer by developing social and welfare programmes and transforming the lives of the workers living in the planned village alongside the mill. Why not spend a day in Glasgow or Edinburgh or tour the beautiful Borders only a short car journey away through stunning scenery? A lovely holiday home with many attractions within easy reach, whatever the season.
