Off the hall to the left is the comfortable living room where you can snuggle up and watch your favourite film or TV program. Also off the hallway is a large dining room which leads through to the kitchen. This is a chef’s dream with all the appliances you need and loads of preparation area, so you can indulge your culinary skills and prepare anything from a sandwich to a 3 course, gourmet meal. There is a second dining area in the kitchen, making it a wonderful social area, meaning the chef never has to miss out on the fun. Also on the ground floor is the first of two bathrooms. Then with full bellies and full glasses you can move into the conservatory, which is a sun trap and take in the wonderful views. Upstairs there is a large family bedroom with a kingsize bed and twin beds, then across the landing is a second bedroom with another kingsize bed. The cottage is completed with a family bathroom boasting twin sinks, bath and a shower.
This lovely cottage also has a lovely location which offers easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, Morecambe Bay and even the Lake District, all within 30 minutes’ drive. Nearby, there is plenty to do and see such as Ingleton, which is a little gem of a town known as the Land of caves and waterfalls and for good reason. Whitescar Cave, the longest show cave in Britain, is just north of Ingleton, under Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and offers tours so you can appreciate how nature crafted this stunning spectacle over millions of years. Above ground you can enjoy more of nature’s beauty by taking the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, a 4.5-mile trail with distinctive geological features and associated plant life. Carnforth offers a selection of supermarkets and independent shops and of course there is a choice of pubs and restaurants. If you’re looking for things to do on a day out, then within a 30-minute drive you can choose from farms and zoos through to stately homes and halls or beautiful natural attractions like Ingleton Falls or White Scar caves and of course there are beautiful locations for walking and cycling for the outdoor minded.
