All the rooms are spacious, and the conservatory offers a lovely view over the paddock. Just a short drive away are the delightful market towns of Stamford (one of the finest Georgian towns in England) and Oakham, the county town of Rutland, with nearby Rutland water set in over 3,000 acres of beautiful rolling countryside – perfect for walking, cycling and bird watching.
Newark, with its antique and vintage shops, and the historic city of Lincoln also lie within easy reach, all within a 26 mile radius. Slightly further afield, Norfolk with its sandy beaches and nature reserves is approximately an hour’s drive to the east. Lincolnshire is well known for being the Bomber County in WWII and there are many interesting heritage sites and museums to visit. There are great walks and cycle routes from the barn door with the village pub to relax in, or your own wood burner to chill out in front of, after a great day out. Shop is 6 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile walk along a footpath or 1.2 miles by road
