This is a fantastic base for exploring the area, close to beautiful beaches, plenty of choice for walking from the house and leaving the car behind. If you bring your wet suits there is a facility to hang them in the parking area and a bucket of water is available to rinse them down. Falmouth town is only 8 minutes away by car, full of small shops, an abundance of cafes, bars, and restaurants, and home to the Maritime Museum. If you want to wear the youngsters out why not visit Flambards Theme Park in Helston a 20-minute drive away, open from Easter to October it really is a fantastic day out whatever the weather with so many attractions to appeal to all ages. The ancient market town of Helston is home to the Furry Dance which takes place in early May. The town is full of history which you can discover by paying a visit to the museum. Whilst you are on holiday visit the city of Truro, it has a magnificent Cathedral, a large museum and plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafés.
You can always book a show at the Hall for Cornwall, it is recommended that you do this before you arrive. If you wander around you will come across small courtyards and little Opes full of amazing gifts. If you go south from the accommodation it will take you approximately 45 minutes by car as it is just over 23 miles away. Here you will see where the original lifeboat was housed, walk on the small beach, explore the coastline, and stop for refreshments in the cafes it really is worth the drive, you will also find small souvenir shops and larger ones in the village itself. If you want to make the most of the surf you will be spoilt for choice on both the north and south coast, check the forecast to see where the best waves are for that day. Beach 2 miles.
