North Mere is made up of three fabulous holiday properties; The Granary (UKC4699), The Coach House (UKC4700) and The Old Dairy (UKC4698). The working farm, where Hereford cattle graze and crops are grown, spans 460-acres of the Warwickshire countryside, adjacent to Kenilworth Castle, which was part of the estate until the early 20th century. The Granary has two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room, an open plan living area kitchen, living room and a cosy sun room overlooking the garden. The Coach House is a single storey property with two bedrooms, perfect for guests with restricted mobility, and a lovely open plan living area. The Old Dairy is the largest property with three bedrooms, one of which is located on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room. The farm also has a tennis court which can be booked directly with the owner.
There are numerous footpaths accessible straight from your holiday cottage into the Warwickshire countryside and into Kenilworth where you can visit the castle ruins and Elizabethan gardens, sample the many different restaurant cuisines, including a Michelin starred restaurant, go shopping in the many independent and artisan shops, or visit one of the four local nature reserves. A short drive will take you to the nearby towns of: Stratford Upon Avon, where you can discover more about William Shakespeare and enjoy the River Avon; Warwick with its famous castle offers fun for all the family; Leamington Spa; the city of Coventry with its Cathedrals old and new and home to The Wave, a fun water park, and England’s second city, Birmingham, boasting fantastic shopping and events. It’s also a great location to attend an event or exhibition at Stoneleigh Park or the NEC and NIA.
