As well as scenic walks and excellent wildlife spotting, there are many recreational activities such as orienteering, cycle hire, angling, horse riding, GoApe Treetop Adventure, Segway and more! Avon Heath and Queens Copse are other nearby walking areas. There is a ski centre in the area as well as other activities including clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, golf and fishing. There is a lovely thatched roof pub/restaurant about a 5-minute walk away. Many holidaymakers visit The New Forest National Park where you can see the free-roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle, and enjoy off-road walking, riding and cycling.
