This ‘Town of Books’ is fascinating; there are the famous second-hand bookshops, designer boutiques, a butter market with local produce, antique dealers, retailer’s catering for crafts and interiors, there is even a chandelier shop, which is truly charming. The cinema and theatre are a venue which hosts a variety of eclectic artists and theatrical performances throughout the year. The choice of cafés and restaurants will leave you needing to return time and again. Don’t miss the ice cream parlour, which sells not only delicious ice cream but great coffee and desserts. The local gastro pub has an excellent reputation, and an evening here is a must.
