This fisherman’s cottage in a yard of Grade II listed properties, oozing with character, was built in the early 18th century. It is set over four floors, with an open plan kitchen/dining room on the ground floor, a spacious living room on the first floor and the bedrooms on the second and third floor.
There is an array of Whitby Jet shops and interesting small businesses along the many cobbled streets. Whitby’s famous kipper house is just along the road where you can get your fresh kippers for breakfast. Take the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey and enjoy the fantastic views over the rugged coastline. For those ramblers amongst you, Whitby forms part of the Cleveland Way where you can enjoy fantastic walks along the cliff tops. The North York Moors is close by. You can catch the steam train to travel from Whitby across the moors to Grosmont (Heartbeat Country) and the market town of Pickering. There’s a lovely large sandy beach in Whitby, as well as many excellent seaside resorts along the coast including Scarborough, Filey, Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes.
