Fantastic cottage in a quiet part of Inverness. It is characterful, cosy and comfortable for up to six people and suits a family perfectly. Pulling up to the Old Cottage you’ll be so pleased you chose to stay. It is in a peaceful situation, which is surprising considering how close the city centre is. Within fifteen minutes you’re in the centre, beside the River Ness with the castle towering over you!
Inverness is a brilliant little city with an amazing food and drink scene, loads of fascinating history and natural beauty. Its setting on the Moray Firth, at the mouth of the River Ness, and only ten minutes drive from gargantuan Loch Ness, give the city a unique feel. You can see Ben Wyvis, the munro from the centre of the city, and it looks particularly impressive covered in snow during the winter. Inverness is the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, and you can explore a different part of this great, wild region every day of your holiday. That’s the advantage of staying in the city, you get to go in a different direction, to different parts of the Highlands each day. The North Coast 500 to the north one day, Culloden Battlefield and Nairn beach to the east on another. The Cairngorms National Park in the south, and Loch Ness and Skye beyond to the west as a real treat one day. The possibilities for adventures and exploration are endless! After all the trips in all directions returning to Old Cottage is a treat. It’s a great place to rest up, recharge and get ready to explore again!
