Wildflower View is a fabulous shepherd’s hut which can be found nestled in the grounds of a converted old Victorian village school in the tranquil rural setting. It lies midway between the villages of Gembling and Foston on the Wolds and inland from the seaside village of Skipsea on the beautiful East Riding of Yorkshire coastline. This shepherd’s hut is perfect as a base for two looking for a romantic and relaxing break away surrounded by stunning countryside. Step inside and discover the traditional open plan living that it offers. A sumptuous kingsize bed sits to onside and is slightly elevated to allow for great views out across the open fields. The country style kitchen is a delight. The fold-down table is just the perfect place for enjoying a hearty breakfast or for a romantic evening meal. The accommodation is completed by the bathroom complete with a Victorian-style toilet and shower. Wildflower View takes its name from the lovely garden, boasting areas of wild flowers and a hot tub. Enjoy an evening surrounded by bubbles watching the sun set over the Yorkshire Wolds.
In just a few minutes’ drive you can be strolling along the golden sands of Barmston Beach whilst the traditional seaside towns of Bridlington and Hornsea are a short drive away where you will find a plethora of tea rooms, delis, shops, and restaurants. The market town of Driffield is close by whilst the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds are a little inland and offer miles of walking and cycling opportunities The stately homes of Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall are also worth a visit. In under an hour, you can be enjoying the ‘foodie capital of North Yorkshire’, Malton, Castle Howard – home to Bridgerton and Brideshead Revisited and also the magnificent walled city of York. Make this romantic shepherd’s hut the base for your Yorkshire getaway. Beach 5 miles.
