The town and the seafront offer a wide range of sporting activities, while quiet serenity can be enjoyed in the towns parks and gardens. Sidmouth offers a variety of interests to all visitors - young and old alike. Most of the surrounding countryside has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or is owned by the National Trust.
