Olive Barn is a three-bedroom holiday home nestled on the outskirts of Rackenford, Devon and surrounded by 200 acres of woodland. This beautiful, single-storey barn conversion offers a charming setting for up to six guests to enjoy a rural getaway. Olive Barn rests within reach of the delights of Exmoor National Park and the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is home to array of wildlife such as sheep, roe and red deer that might make an appearance during your stay. After parking in one of the three generous, off-road parking spaces, soak up your peaceful surroundings of the countryside before stepping inside your home-from-home.
Welcomed by a comfortably furnished open-plan living space, where two plush sofas entice you to relax with your favourite tipple in hand as you watch your favourite show on the Smart TV. There is also a wood burner which will be set ready to light on your arrival. Make your way over to the kitchen, a well-presented space featuring integrated appliances that are bound to satisfy any aspiring chef. Enjoy a light bite at the breakfast bar or as a sit-down affair at the dining table. When sleep calls, progress through the property to find three tastefully decorated bedrooms, with the first of these being kingsize enjoying direct access to the courtyard garden as well as a fabulous en-suite bathroom featuring both a roll-top bath and walk-in shower; there is also a double bedroom also with access to the courtyard and a charming bunk room. Further along the corridor, you’ll be pleased to discover a contemporary bathroom fitted with a shower over the bath. On sunny days, make your way outside to the rear garden to relax in the wood-fired hot tub, whilst enjoying the birdsong, a space that is ideal for evening entertainment or al fresco dining thanks to its outdoor lighting or sit out in the front courtyard garden which is a real sun trap for your morning coffee.
Olive Barn lies on the edge of a Dark Sky area, meaning you can marvel at the starry sky on a clear night.
For your amenities, travel a short way into the small village of Rackenford, where you can dine out at the local pub or purchase essentials for home-cooked meals from the general store. Head to the local town of South Molton which is 12 miles away and has a good range of eclectic shops, superb tea rooms and the famous pannier market, Tiverton also 12 miles away has shops, services and several supermarkets. This part of Devon is an excellent touring base with easy access to lots of places of interest. Nearby you can explore the Two Moors Way, visit RHS Rosemoor, Tiverton Castle, The Grand Western Canal, Knightshayes House or the breath-taking scenery at Exmoor National Park, a short drive away.
