Cockermouth is a quieter 800 year old market town, again with lots of shops and places to eat. It is the birthplace of William Wordsworth and another famous son is Fletcher Christian who led the mutiny on ’The Bounty’. Cockermouth sits on the junction of two major rivers Derwent and Cocker and is the home to Jennings Brewery.
