Llandovery is situated 3 miles away on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, whilst 6 miles away is Myddfai, famous for its physicians. The area is full of beautiful walks and bridleways, with an RSPB nature reserve near Llyn Brianne Reservoir. The beautiful forests of Cwm Rhaeadr and Crychan are a short distance away.
