A local bus takes you to the popular coastal village of Bamburgh, with its castle overlooking both the village and the stunning beach (frequently featured in magazines, it is a real photographers’ delight), and the harbour town of Seahouses, which offers boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands as well as a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
