On the Exe estuary, midway between the old port of Topsham and the seaside resort of Exmouth, here, the beautiful sandy beaches and rock pools are at the start of the Jurassic Coast and form part of the South West Coastal Path. The estuary has a picturesque harbour, is a renowned nature reserve, and a haven for wildlife and migrating birds. The village has a number of pubs that serve lunchtime and evening meals, and a shop, all within easy walking distance. Crealy Adventure Park is just 3 miles away and for cyclists there are many cycle ways. There is a cycle way which runs from Exmouth, through Lympstone and onto Topsham and the Exeter canal, running most of the way alongside the river. There are many National Trust properties, all waiting to be explored. The city of Exeter is within easy reach, Woodbury common is on the doorstep and Dartmoor is an easy drive. Beach 3 miles.
