There’s a choice of entries to the property, either through the living/dining room or kitchen. The kitchen is a modern extension with shaker-style sage units and modern appliances, such as a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas hob, and electric cooker with an extractor fan. As you enter through the living/dining room, you will see that the property boasts character with the 360-year-old beams, which have recently been blasted back to their original glory. The original door through to the dining area gives you a viewing window to the original 360-year-old Wattle and Daub we discovered in the walls and some interesting local art.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms: two single bedrooms, one small double bedroom, and an impressive super king bedroom. There are also two shower rooms with sinks. One shower room has a toilet, and the other is downstairs. There’s private parking to the side of the house.
Plenty of walks are nearby, especially Coopers Hill, where the famous cheese roll is held. Take a walk to the top and see how steep it is. There are pubs a short distance away and a wide range of shops and takeaways across the adjacent road. Also, two parks are within a short walking distance for the children to enjoy. Within ten minutes, you will be in Regency Cheltenham, where theatres, salons and stylish cocktail bars await. Cheltenham also hosts many world-renowned festivals, including literature, jazz and sports. The highlight of the year is Gold Cup week in March, where the town comes alive, so be sure to pack your tweed and hats that week!
Within a 20-minute drive, you will be in the hub of Gloucester Historic Docks, which has a designer shopping outlet, bars, and restaurants. The wider Cotswolds, such as Winchcombe, Bourton-on-the-water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Cirencester, can all be reached within a 20–30 minute scenic Cotswold drive.
