The stables formed part of one of the old barns on Pyegreave Farm, which in 1840 was purchased at a local auction by Florence Nightingales Father who lived in the village a considerable amount of time. One of the most popular attractions in Combs is the reservoir, it is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers opportunities for walking, fishing and birdwatching, the area is also popular for cyclists who enjoy the challenging hills. There is a local pub in the village which serves delicious home cooked food and real local ales. Pyegreave Cottage is a charming and peaceful property that offers a glimpse into the history and natural beauty of the Peak District, the UK’s first National Park.
