Rhandir Barn (ref OX4) and Rhandir Long House (ref OXJ) occupy a dramatic position on a working sheep farm overlooking two valleys in one of the most beautiful and secluded areas in the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are outstanding views of the Black Mountain and the beautiful Carreg Cennen Castle from these architect-designed, detached, 19th-century barns. They both feature beams and cosy wood-burning stove, and Rhandir Barn (ref OX4) has feature archways in the living area, a permanent reminder that these were once part of the stables. In the National Park there are masses of paths and trails for walkers (all abilities), runners, cyclists, mountain bikers, golfers, horse riders and wildlife watchers. There is an excellent range of organised activities on offer too, from gentle recreational pursuits like photography, to full-on adrenaline sports such as paragliding, canoeing, rafting and abseiling. There are a good selection of restaurants and pubs in peaceful Trapp, 2 miles, Llandeilo, 6 miles, and quaint Llangadog, 8 miles. Beach 28 miles. Shops and restaurant 6 miles, pub 2 miles.
