Nearby, the elegant cathedral town of Chichester, 10 minutes drive, has a Roman villa, popular theatre, cinema complex, leisure centre with indoor pool, and a host of restaurants, inns and shops. Goodwood, with its historic house, famous race course and motor racing events is also nearby, as is the open air Weald and Downland Museum. Historic Arundel is within easy reach, with a castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Park. Alternatively, Portsmouth is a 25 minute drive, with shopping centre, a Naval dockyard and regular ferry service to the Isle of Wight.
