Rose Cottage has been superbly renovated by its owners in 2022 to provide spacious holiday accommodation with a high level of comfort. Step into a stunning living room with its vaulted ceilings with beams and a warming wood burner set within an inglenook fireplace, just the place to snuggle up in the cooler months. Leading off the living area are two attractive en-suite bedrooms, convenient for guests with restricted mobility. The kitchen and dining area certainly have the wow factor, with fabulous contemporary styling. The beautiful roof lantern fills the space with light, and the bi-fold doors bring the outside in. The dining area looks out onto the patio and terraced garden, and is a lovely relaxing space. In the summer months, enjoy the garden with patio, lawn and small raised terrace area, set with furniture to sit and relax or enjoy an al fresco meal.
Nearby is the village of Bardon Mill, where there is a lovely picnic area, coffee shop/general store, and a restaurant serving a varied menu, including Thai meals, and drinks. From here catch the train - you can be in Newcastle or Carlisle in under 45 minutes. In close proximity to the Northumberland National Park, the location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England. Visit the famous Vindolanda Roman Fort, and a little further you can discover The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall, where you can see the most photographed, iconic tree from the movie ‘Robin Hood’.
