Rose da Mar is a superb property with impressive views of St Just Creek and beyond across the waters of the Carrick Roads, where the sun sets creating a perfect environment for evening barbecues and whiling the hours away enjoying the ever-changing vista. The accommodation is immaculately presented and lovingly decorated throughout.
The cosy living room with wood burner creates a relaxing space even in colder months. The kitchen/dining room is great for gathering as a family and enjoying a holiday feast. With a single bedroom downstairs and three further bedrooms on the first floor there is plenty of space to spread out. Upstairs the master bedroom has a kingsize bed, its own en-suite shower room, and a private balcony where you can relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning views. The family bathroom is also found on the first floor. There are dozens of fantastic walks on your doorstep, and as a dog-friendly property, even your furry friends are ensured a fabulous holiday.
The harbour village of St Mawes is two miles to the south, and there are some delightful beaches nearby, the whole of the Roseland Peninsula, including a myriad of beautiful beaches, secluded coves, traditional fishing villages and excellent coastal walks are right on your doorstep. At St Just Creek there is a stone beach, boatyard and boat launching point which is a 10-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away. A visit to the pretty churchyard at St Just should not be missed during your stay. Surrounded by sub-tropical gardens and nestled on the edge of the creek, there has been a place of worship here since the sixth century and there are fewer more peaceful places in the country. The recent addition of a tearoom just above the church is well worth a stop for sustenance, a cream tea or cake as you negotiate the steep hill back up to Rose Da Mar. Beach 3 miles.
