Set in the grounds of the magnificent Samlesbury Hall this beautiful collection of handcrafted huts offers a delightful getaway to one of Lancashire’s oldest country estates. The majestic stately home dates to the 1300s, and in its current form acts as a stunning venue for tourists and visitors year-round. The lovely collection of colourful shepherds huts are locally crafted with a full range of indulgent facilities from the European oak beds to the memory foam mattress. Each hut sleeps up to four in two doubles and is equipped with en-suite bathrooms, barbecues and outdoor seating facilities. There isn’t a kitchen but there is a restaurant on site.
Guests can enjoy a whole range of events and entertainment from tours and theatre productions to a meeting with the Resident Witch; prepare to be enthralled by the chilling tales of the real witches of Samlesbury. On the grounds you will find a Driving Range with Crazy Golf, the Bee Centre with a variety of honeys to try, the Adventure Trail and Mayflower Playground for the little ones, plus a charming collection of landscaped gardens. Enjoy a splendid arrangement of fine dining from delicious homemade waffles in Dotties; England’s first ever wafflery, to sumptuous afternoon teas, breakfasts and lunches in the award-winning restaurant.
The huts make a great base to visit the nearby cities of Manchester or Liverpool, as well as a variety of natural countryside in the vicinity. The beautiful River Darwen to the south is a tranquil place for a countryside stroll including waterfalls and the famous Samlesbury Bottoms weir, before it joins the equally serene River Ribble to the north.
Stay in Samlesbury Hall huts for a glamping escape with lovely food, events, activities and more in this wonderful historic destination.
