Sea Cottage is a one-bedroom, detached holiday home located in an exceptional coastal position commanding panoramic views of Cawsands Bay, Plymouth Sound, The Breakwater and The English Channel. The property has the rare attraction of a totally unobstructed sea, estuary and coastal view, which is ever changing with fishing boats, yachts, tankers, ferries and battleships passing by.
At the right time and tide, you can watch the surfers riding the waves just below the cottage. The sunsets are spectacular and, in the evening, the lights from Cornwall twinkle across the sea with something to look at every moment of the day or night. The aspect directly over the Breakwater is extraordinary and there can hardly be a more engaging aspect in the South West! Set high above sea level, it is the elevation of the property that provides it with such a breath-taking outlook which extends to Plymouth Sound, Rame Head, Cawsands, Kingsands, the Tamar Estuary, Drakes Island and the beginning of the Hoe. There is a footpath from the property to both Bovisand beaches and the South West Coast Path.
Sea Cottage is a 70’s-style bungalow which feels cosy and homely. The bedroom has a double bed, large wardrobes and beautiful sea views. The large, sea facing living area is spread across three spaces, the kitchen and bathroom are well fitted, and the front garden is beautifully stocked with various plants and shrubs. Evenings can be enjoyed sharing a glass of wine on the patio area overlooking the garden and sea views.
Sea Cottage is well situated to visit Dartmoor, Salcombe and Dartmouth, or westwards to Cornwall and the unspoilt coast of Rame Head and Whitsands. This is the very westernmost portion of the South Hams, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With beautiful surroundings, this is the perfect choice for a truly memorable holiday. Any guests arriving by train can arrange transport with the owner prior to arrival to get from the station to the property.
