These stone cottages are accessed by a rough track and have been beautifully refurbished in 2018 with underfloor heating and wood burners, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring either the North York Moors National Park or the wonderful Yorkshire coastline. Seaview Cottage has fantastic views down towards the coast, the fishing village of Staithes and the North York Moors National Park. The ground floor consists of a modern open plan kitchen/dining/living area on the ground floor with a wood burner and a set of patio doors that open onto a wonderful, partly decked garden with stunning views down towards the sea and the village of Staithes. The first floor bedroom is next to the family shower room and a double room is on the second floor with en-suite facilities. Both bedrooms benefit from fantastic sea views.
Grinkle is just 3 miles from the fishing village of Staithes with its quaint shops and has strong links to Captain Cook and his maritime history, traditional pubs serving home cooked food and a beach. The famous Cleveland Way twists and turns along the coastline dropping down into some wonderful bays and coves such as Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay and there are plenty of cycle routes across the area and a cycle hire shop in nearby Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The bustling town of Whitby is a short drive away with its myriad of shops, pubs and restaurants. Famous for its abbey and links to Bram Stoker’s Dracula there are plenty of things to see and do in the town and regular events and festivals throughout the year. The North York Moors are nothing short of spectacular and well worth a visit with many National Heritage Sites, walking routes and villages to enjoy. Beach 4 miles.
