Located towards the edge of the small village of Hopeman and a short walk from its two sandy beaches, this lovely mid-terraced cottage has been furnished to a very good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible. Although there is no garden at the property, there are plenty of walks or beaches to relax on nearby. Hopeman is a scenic fishing village set on the shores of the Moray Firth and attracts many visitors, mainly due to its two beaches. East and West beach, with their preserved dinosaur footprints, a Druid site and the Bramou Well, which is said to have healing properties, as well as a pretty little harbour. The village boasts a small selection of shops, a tea room and a pub with a larger selection in Elgin, Scotland’s smallest city, which is just 7 miles away.
Nearby Burghead also has a wonderful sandy beach which is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, as Burghead Bay is an ideal place to watch the large variety of birdlife as well as dolphin and whale watching. The popular coastal villages of Findhorn and Lossiemouth are a short drive away and well worth exploring. The Moray coastline is a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast with watersports, fishing, boat trips, mountain biking and so much more on the doorstep. The area also has numerous golf courses within easy reach, one within the village of Hopeman itself, approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the property. Slightly further afield, take a trip along the Speyside Malt Whisky Trail – the only one of its kind in the world. For the less energetic, sit back, relax and unwind in this lovely part of the Northern Highlands. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
