Situated in a peaceful residential area, Skimming Stones offers a very warm welcome to families or friends looking for a coastal property to relax and unwind in. A much-loved holiday home where the owner has made lots of happy family memories, it offers a well-equipped kitchen, a light and airy dining space and two living rooms, one with a gas fired wood burner effect stove and both with TVs, giving lots of places to relax when you are not on the town’s beautiful beach. With three bedrooms and a large sofa bed in one of the sitting rooms (for alternative sleeping), this lovely house is just perfect for six guests and has been furnished and decorated to provide light, airy and stylish accommodation. There is also a lovely south-west facing garden with a sitting out area to enjoy, which is a great space for breakfast and dinner alike.
Just footsteps from the beach and the town centre, you will be delighted to discover lots of boutique and artisan shops, cafés, inns, restaurants and bars, all very easily accessible on foot. There really is something for everyone, from seafood restaurants to ethnic eateries and real ale pubs, to lively bistro inns so whatever your tastes or pockets you are unlikely to be disappointed. Of course, the biggest draw here is the wide sand and shingle beach which is waiting to be explored. Build some sandcastles, while building memories, take a paddle along the shore, enjoy some wild swimming while working on your tan, or head out for an off-season blustery beach walk and blow the cobwebs away. Don’t miss a trip on the Poppy Line which chugs along the coast. It really is a must do, as is Sheringham Park with its 1,000 acres of diverse natural habitats. There is also a mainline train station in Sheringham, so if you’d like a rest from driving, hop aboard and explore Cromer, Wroxham or even the fine city of Norwich. After a busy day exploring, head back to Skimming Stones and enjoy a sundowner in the garden or snuggle up by the gas wood burner. Just perfect, whatever the season!
