Located in Torlundy, a small rural village, nestled below the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Its proximity to Fort William makes it ideal for guests looking for a peaceful location with fantastic views, but with easy access to the facilities and attractions of Fort William. There are some fantastic walks from the apartment to the River Lochy, as well easy access to the Aonach Mor mountain range. Glen Nevis is very scenic and offers nice gentle walks with spectacular views and waterfalls. A convenient cycle path safely allows cyclists to travel the 3-mile route into Fort William or to Aonach Mor, the well-known ski and downhill mountain biking resort with many other fantastic outdoor activities such as white-water rafting and ice climbing.
Many people come to Fort William to climb the UK’s biggest mountain, Ben Nevis, which can be seen from the apartment. Its only 3 miles to Fort William train station which is the starting point for the famous Jacobite Steam Train that travels to Mallaig over Glenfinnan viaduct also known as the Harry Potter bridge. Fort William Golf Course is only 1/4 miles down the road. Lochaber is renowned for its spectacular beauty, with wild mountains, coastal and inland lochs, and clean white beaches. Wildlife abounds, from Red Deer to Otter, Golden Eagle to Minke Whale, and whether you are here to walk or climb the hills, fish the lochs, play golf on beautifully-situated courses or simply tour the area on quiet, empty roads, you can be assured that there is no friendlier place to do it.
